The Bonnet House Museum & Gardens provides a beautiful 35-acre facility for all to enjoy. Whether you are planning an event and need a venue or you just want to visit, the Bonnet House is a great place to enjoy in Fort Lauderdale.
One of the most popular types of events held at the Bonnet House is weddings. With the beautiful setting and the size, it’s perfect for small intimate weddings and even larger lavish affairs. Many couples choose this venue simply because of the beautiful gardens.
You will find many lush gardens throughout the property. They show an example of native barrier island habitat in South Florida. There are five distinct ecosystems found here with the property near the Atlantic Ocean. You can enjoy the mangrove wetlands, maritime forest, house site, Desert Garden, hibiscus garden and so much more when you visit the Bonnet House.
You can take a group tour of the Bonnet Use Museum & Gardens from Tuesday to Sunday at specific times. They will even open on Mondays if you have a group of 60 or more taking the tour.
Group tours are for groups of 15 or more. You can select from multiple tour options for your specific needs. Tours range from 1.25 hours up to 2.25 hours in length.
Along with the beautiful gardens, you can enjoy the artwork found in the gallery and studio. The art comes from Huge Taylor Birch and includes paintings of the South Florida wilderness.
Hours, Location and Admission
The Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is open from 9am to 4pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Public tours are held at 9:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm every day. They are located at 900 North Birch Road in Fort Lauderdale.
Admission to the museum and gardens is $20 for adults, $16 for students and free for children under the age of 6. If you just want to enjoy the gardens, admission is just $10.
